Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Although the meaning of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
has various definitions given by numerous specialized people and organizations,
is relatively recent in Greece. It is mainly applied by international
enterprises. A widely acceptable definition concerning CSR has been
formed by the European Commission since 2001 is:
"CSR is a concept whereby companies
integrate social and environmental concerns in their business operations
and in their interaction with their stakeholders on a voluntary basis".
As we mention in the part "Our
Difference", our company is not merely a commercial enterprise
whose only objective is the profit. On the contrary, beyond the economic
and legal levels and based on our competencies, we believe that it is
our responsibility as well to voluntarily contribute to the implementation
of CSR. This small contribution could make the difference to you, to
us, to the environment and to society in general.
